New England Patriots: Nelson Agholor shows insane strength to score v Steelers

New England Patriots wide receiver Nelson Agholor displayed an incredible show of strength to score a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

Nelson Agholor might not be one of the most well-known wide receivers in the league, not in the same class as the likes of Davante Adams, CeeDee Lamb, Cooper Kupp or Lamar Chase, but there is no doubt that he is effective at what he does.

And he proved exactly why the New England Patriots signed him to a $26m contract last summer as he pulled off a remarkable touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers towards the end of the first half to give the Patriots the lead at a crucial time. 

The New England Patriots receiving group wasn’t exactly a show of strength last year, with none of them able to get above 1,000 yards, and this season hasn’t exactly started off great for them either, as last week against the Miami Dolphins, the most anybody was able to haul in was 55 in their 20-7 loss in South Beach.

In the final minute of the first half and with the scores tied at 3, the Patriots were driving to get a late score and give them a lead going into half-time, they could have gone short, looked for a field goal and to wind the clock down.

Instead, quarterback Mac Jones threw the ball up for Agholor to compete for against Ahkello Witherspoon, but he did more than compete as he ripped the ball away from the cornerback before crossing over for the touchdown.
