New dugouts, longer pitch - behind the scenes as Sheffield United prepare for Women's EURO2022

It's been four years of collaboration and hard work but all those associated with making Sheffield a host city and Bramall Lane a venue for this summer's Women's EURO2022 will be bursting with pride when the stadium is turned into a sea of yellow and orange on Saturday, July 9.

Holland face Sweden in the first of four matches to be played at the home of Sheffield United and the club will once again be launched on to a global stage.

Blades fans hold this stadium, among the world's oldest in professional football and one steeped in history, close to its heart. But they may notice a completely different look and feel when the world's TV cameras descend on S2 next month.

There has been a raft of changes to bring the stadium in line with UEFA regulations.

The home and away dugouts have been temporarily removed. In order to accommodate 12 subs and coaching staff, there will be new dugouts for these four matches positioned slightly further back at the front of the South Stand.

There will also be a complete UEFA rebrand of the ground, both inside and out. To those watching on TV, it will be reminiscent of what Champions League and Europa League matches look like in this respect.

Rows of seats have been taken out at the back of the South Stand to accommodate up to 50% more media than the current allocation, which had already been extended following promotion to the Premier
