Netflix fans debate Avicii 'favourite song' as documentary lands on streaming platform

The world was left in mourning back in 2018 when it was revealed that DJ and producer had died from suicide while on holiday in Muscat, Oman.

The star was instrumental into being one of the faces to bring electronic music into the charts and achieved worldwide success from his music including songs Levels and Wake Me Up.

Six years on from his death, a new documentary called Avicii: I'm Tim, about his life in his own words has landed on Netflix today (Tuesday 31 December).

As viewers tune into the one-off special, his fans have taken to Reddit to reveal which of his tunes are their favourites as his legacy continues to go on.

Somebody created a new post called 'What is your favourite Avicii song? And why?' with fans quick to share their responses.

One person responded: "Levels because that started it all for me. Walked down to that song at my wedding and got the entire wedding lit."

Another fan agreed: "Levels purely because it established the “Avicii” image… Also I love the progression, can listen to that on loop…"

Somebody else suggested: "Wake Me Up- it was huge summer 2013 when I started my senior year of college. We listened to it non stop."

Yet another Reddit user said: "The Days - everything I've been through good or bad this song has always got me through it. It touches my soul in a way no other music ever has."

While somebody else posted: "Sunset Jesus, just love every part of the song. Great melody, vocals and arrangement. The song just always makes me feel happy and relaxed."

A sixth added: "For A Better Day- absolutely love this song, the vocals are unreal and the production and chord progressions are too good. It just sounds so cohesive. I love the crunchy sounding piano."
