Nemani Nadolo reacts angrily to Super Rugby transfer rumour

Nemani Nadolo has reacted angrily to a report he is leaving Leicester Tigers to return to Super Rugby this summer.

Fresh from scoring two tries in a man-of-the-match display against London Irish, the 34-year-old was subject of speculation regarding a summer switch away from Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

The Rugby Paper carried a front page headline that said 'Nadolo set for Tigers exit' teasing a story inside that suggested Nadolo was seeking a 'return home at the end of the season for family reasons'.

The story also linked Nadolo with a switch to Fijian Drua, who were awarded a place in Super Rugby this year after South African sides pulled out to join the United Rugby Championship.

Nadolo took to Twitter to air his frustrations, starting with a message that said: "Wow I'm just disappointed".

Tigers' powerhouse back, who has scored 14 tries in 30 appearances since joining from Montpellier in 2020, then went directly for the author of the story, Neil Fissler, whose pinned Tweet from 2016 reads: 'Let's face it when it comes to breaking rugby transfers I walk this earth like a god!'

Nadolo said in a tweet: " @neilfissler you wannabe f***** expert how easy is it to assume your Thinking my next move. where did you get it from? Did @Esportif spill the beans? I've never met you and I don’t know you from a bar of soap"

Fissler responded with the message: "You been drinking," to which Nadolo shared a picture of his son and the words: "The fact you asking me if I’m drinking. Do you think your an expert about rugby??. Talk to me man to man before u spit s*** out…"

The exchange continued as Fisser replied: "DM me your number and I’ll call you tomorrow. I’ll also recommend a new agent if you want one."
