Neil Taylor on Middlesbrough, Wrexham and Ruthin Town - and the chances of a Wales return

Former Wrexham, Aston Villa and Swansea City defender Neil Taylor may be 33 now but revealed he hasn't completely closed the door on a Wales return - despite being away from the international scene for over three years.

In an exclusive interview with North Wales Live, Taylor also spoke of his delight at seeing Wrexham AFC making progress under the ownership of Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - and also spoke of his pride at seeing his hometown club Ruthin Town making steady progress on and off the field.

Now at Championship club Middlesbrough, former Ysgol Brynhyfryd pupil Taylor has enjoyed an impressive career - winning 43 Wales caps and playing nearly 200 times in the Premier League.

The 33-year-old is clearly happy at the Riverside Stadium and revealed that he is especially enjoying working with highly rated ex-Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder.

Taylor said: "It's a big football club. It's a big institution and the club runs very deep in the community. The stature and history of the club as well - I've really enjoyed being up here for the brief time I've been here so far.

"I came up here because of the manager Chris Wilder, I wanted to work with him. He's a great manager and the staff he's got around him are really good - pretty much wherever he's been he's had success so it's been great in these latter stages of my career to work with him."

Taylor also spoke about his international future and said that although he hasn't completely ruled out the prospect of adding to his 43 caps, it isn't something he envisages happening anytime soon.

He said: "It hasn't really been in my mind. I made the decision for personal reasons a couple of years ago with Ryan (Giggs).

"I've always said I'll never retire
