Naomi Osaka: The highest-paid sportswoman's four best investments
Naomi Osaka’s four best investments have been named after she was announced as the highest-paid female athlete in the world.
Sports business website Sportico ranked the tennis star as the 20th highest-paid athlete with earnings of $53.2 million (£43m) across the past year. Serena Williams, the only other sportswoman on the list, was ranked 52nd.
Osaka, who has equity in more than a dozen brands and has her own skincare range, also has endorsement deals with Nissan, Tag Heuer and Louis Vuitton.
Following the announcement, sports business journalist Andrew Petcash listed Osaka’s most savvy investments.

Osaka became Sweetgreen’s youngest ever investor in May 2021. A long-time customer of the healthy fast-food brand, the 24-year-old revealed she was “proud” of the partnership.
“As an athlete, what I put into my body directly correlates to how I perform and eating delicious, healthy foods fuels my daily routine,” said Osaka. “I’m excited about the work we’re doing together to create a positive impact.”
According to Petcash, Sweetgreen had a valuation of $3 billion (£2.4bn) in November.
I like to switch it up when it comes to my sweetgreen order because there are so many tasty ingredients on the menu. Excited to have created my own bowl for the year with my absolute favorite @sweetgreen
