Mystery witness urged to come forward after man dies at Peak District reservoir
Police are urging a key witness to come forward after a man died at a popular Peak District beauty spot. The man, aged in his 40s, was found near to Derwent Reservoir, near Bamford, shortly before 4.30pm on Saturday (October 19).
He was found at the at the car park near to Upper Derwent Visitor Centre. The man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been informed, Derbyshire Police says. Police are searching for an American tourist who found the man, but left before officers arrived.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman added: "There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances in relation to the death and a file is being prepared for the coroner." The witness, or anyone who knows him, is urged to contact Derbyshire Police as soon as possible.
