My Bloody Valentine announce first UK headline tour in over a decade, including big Manchester show
Rock band My Bloody Valentine have announced their first UK headline tour in over a decade - with a show in Manchester kicking things off.
The Irish-English band - made up of Bilinda Butcher, Kevin Shields, Deb Googe and Colm Ó Cíosóig - are known for hits including when you sleep, only shallow and sometimes. They first emerged onto the scene with their debut single no place to go in 1985.
Regarded as the pioneers of shoegaze, the musicians have repeatedly been praised for their ‘profound inspiration in the direction of 90s alternative rock’. The band broke up in 1996 and reformed in 2012, but performances have been scarce.
Last year, the four-piece announced a show at Dublin’s 3Arena set for November 22, 2025. It will be their first Irish headline show since 1992. The last time that my bloody valentine played in the UK was as part of Robert Smith's Meltdown Festival back in 2018.
Now, their first UK headline shows in over a decade have been unveiled - which will begin with a big show at Manchester’s Aviva Studios on Monday, November 24.
my bloody valentine will also perform at London’s OVO Wembley Arena on November 25 and the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on November 27. Tickets will be going on sale on April 4 via Ticketmaster, Live Nation and Gigs and Tours.
The shows will also mark the first time the band has performed a concert in seven years - with their last shows taking place in North America back in 2018.
There will be presale opportunities for fans looking to secure tickets early, which will take place from 10am BST on Monday (March 31). To take part, you can sign up to the band's mailing list before 9AM BST on March 31 here.
Tickets will be on sale via Ticketmaster, Live Nation, and Gigs and Tours.
