Murder suspect named after man stabbed to death near his home
A 55-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of Jack O'Brien. Kevin Draper of Siddow Common, Leigh, has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates court on Saturday (December 7).
The charge relates to an incident which took place on Tuesday (December 3) on Siddow Common, where a man, who was later identified as Jack O’Brien, sadly passed away following a fatal stabbing.
The family of Jack, have paid an emotional tribute to the 27-year-old man who was fatally stabbed near his home, saying: "We're absolutely devastated.
“We have been left with a massive hole in our hearts which will never heal. As a family we will cherish every memory good and the bad. His memory will live through us all, forever our Jack and forever 27.”
Detectives have continued to appeal for anyone who has information to come forward.
