Munster confirm signings of John Ryan and Oli Morris

Munster have confirmed the return of prop John Ryan on a short-term term deal with Irish-qualified centre Oli Morris joining until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Tom Ahern, Calvin Nash and Fineen Wycherley have all signed two-year contract extensions with the province.

Ryan and Morris were both free agents after English Premiership clubs Wasps and Worcester were placed into administration.

Ryan rejoins on a three-month contract to provide injury cover at tighthead, with Stephen Archer currently sidelined with an ankle injury. The 34-year-old made almost 200 appearances for Munster before departing for Wasps at the end of last season.

Morris, 23, was involved with the Ireland U20s in 2019, the same year he joined Worcester from Saracens' academy. He made 30 Premiership appearances for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, talented trio Ahern, Nash and Wycherley have all committed their futures to their home province.

Ahern and Nash both impressed for Emerging Ireland during their tour of South Africa while Wycherley won a senior cap for Ireland against the USA last year.

Wycherley, who has made 88 appearances for Munster, is currently rehabbing a shoulder injury.
