Mum who was once homeless with just 20p in the bank now lives in £600k house after setting up £1m business

A woman who was once left homeless with her two kids has turned her life around and now owns a £600,000 home and a business worth £1 million. Mum-of-two Caroline Strawson, 48, hit rock bottom in 2013 when her home was repossessed after failing to pay her mortgage.

Caroline, who at her lowest point had just 20p in her bank account, was left not knowing where the money would come to look after her children, who were just eight and five at the time. The struggling mum was forced to ask her dad to be her guarantor so she could rent and put a roof over their heads.

Fast forward nine years and Caroline is now a successful entrepreneur with a million pound business, owns a beautiful £600,000 property and is able to send her children to private school.

“I offer healing and coaching programmes to help people move on from their past and, in the last year alone, my business has turned over £1.3m.”

Caroline now lives in Northampton with her two children William, 17, and Maddie, 14, and her husband, Simon, 51, but her life hasn't always been that way.

"There were times when things were at their worst when I’d look at my bank account and there would be literally 20p in it, I’d think, ‘How am I going to feed my kids?" she said.

“I always made sure to cook them solid meals with whatever I could
