Mum leaves parents 'mind-blown' with 'effortless' sweet packet trick for kids

Nowadays there's a life hack for anything.

Whether it's a method to keep your water bottle cool in the summer, or avoiding food waste, there's something for all. Now if you want to open a packet of sweets without any stress, you've come to the right place.

Instagram user Casey Major-Bunce, who goes by @majormumhacks, shared an ingenious way to tear open sweet packets effortlessly. She revealed this clever hack to her 636,000 followers, captioning her post: "Save for later. Did you know this?

"I hate when sweet packets are open in the cupboards or in the car. Also, kids struggle to open the packets, so this works. Sorry if I seem sad, but I thought this was super cool. I need to get a life... I know #mumhack #organise."

In her video, Casey shows how to neatly tear a packet to create a small tab that can be used to reseal it without any additional tape. Using a tasty pack of Haribos, she demonstrates the process in mere seconds.

Despite joking she "needs a life", the hack clearly went down a treat (quite literally) online. One commented: "I feel like I've learnt more life lessons on TikTok and Instagram then I ever did in school."

While another gushed: "Stop. I want to start life over with this knowledge." And a third chimed in: "I don't think you realise how much you have changed the rest of my life."

So the next time you're unwrapping a sweet treat, bear in mind this clever tip that could be a game-changer. Looking for more hacks?
