Moyes set for disaster on £47k-p/w "great asset", West Ham supporters would be fuming - opinion

Tomas Soucek’s long-term future at West Ham is in doubt following contract talks being put on halt by David Moyes.

That’s according to a report by 90min, who claim that Soucek’s contract talks have been stalled by Moyes in what could potentially be a bold move with regards to the player’s long-term future at the Hammers.

New contract discussions had begun to motor ahead during the January transfer window, with Moyes and West Ham looking at rewarding the player for his excellent form during his spell so far at the club.

The report by 90min also states that there are two Premier League sides interested in the midfielder, although the clubs are not named.

However, considering just how important Soucek has proven to be for West Ham since his arrival at the club back in 2020, the argument that losing the services of the midfielder this summer would be a disaster for Moyes
