"Move them on" - Ex-Southampton star urges Hasenhuttl to finally axe 348-game trio

Southampton should move Theo Walcott, Nathan Redmond and Moussa Djenepo on this summer, says former Saints midfielder Carlton Palmer.

Reports suggest the Southampton trio could all be heading for the St Mary’s exit door, and Palmer believes it could be for the best.

According to The Athletic, Southampton will listen to offers for Walcott, Redmond and Djenepo when the transfer window reopens.

The three Saints stars are all out of contract in 2023, hence the club’s decision to consider offers for them.

Walcott and Djenepo have made less than 10 starts in the Premier League this season, so it would not be a shock if Ralph Hasenhuttl was indeed willing to let the pair go.

When it comes to Redmond, however, it may be worth keeping him around St Mary’s. The former Norwich City man has proven to be a versatile asset for Southampton, playing on both flanks and up front
