MotoGP Motegi: McPhee ‘excited’ for Japanese return after past success

John McPhee is looking forward to a strong Moto3 weekend in Japan after previous success at Mobility Resort Motegi.

While his first visit in three years comes after a challenging season on the Sterilgarda Husqvarna, McPhee is hoping his previous experience of the 4.8km historic layout will prove fruitful this time out, having left the multiple technical gremlins faced across Aragon, firmly in Europe.

“I’m really excited to get back to Motegi after two years away,” McPhee said on Thursday. “The Japanese fans are certainly up there with the best in the world so it’ll be great to race here again in front of them.

“I’ve enjoyed success here in the past so I’ll keep working hard to have a great weekend.”
