MotoGP: Incredible onboard footage shows how bikes are nearly horizontal through corners at German GP

MotoGP is at the Sachsenring this weekend for the German Grand Prix and it’s going to be fascinating seeing who takes over from Marc Marquez as the dominant force at the circuit.

The Spaniard has had a stranglehold on the track for a long time but with him recovering from his latest arm operation there is an opportunity for someone else to take top step come Sunday.

Fabio Quartararo will certainly be one man eager to try and fill the void as he looks to strengthen his grip further on the championship lead, though the Ducati bikes have actually looked the quicker so far than his Yamaha this weekend and so there might be a little bit of work to do.

He’s pushing hard nonetheless, though, and that has been demonstrated perfectly by footage taken by MotoGP that has a camera perched on the Frenchman’s shoulder, as he takes on some of the Sachsenring’s iconic, long, sweeping bends.

The lean angle these riders get on the MotoGP bikes is scarcely believable with them nearly horizontal and with their shoulders brushing the tarmac, let alone their knees.
