MotoGP Austria: McPhee expecting ‘exciting’ race

Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max’s John McPhee heads to round thirteen confident of an exciting Moto3 weekend at the Red Bull Ring.

The second race back from the summer break finds the paddock in the beautiful mountains of Spielberg, Austria with a revised circuit, due to the new chicane at turn two, awaiting the pack for Friday practice.

Having been firmly in the podium hunt throughout his home Grand Prix at Silverstone, and fastest overall on the opening day before ultimately meeting the flag in seventh, McPhee is hoping for more this time out.

“Spielberg is always a circuit I look forward to racing at,” the Scotsman said ahead of round 13. “Especially this year with the new turn two, I’m excited to get there and start the weekend.

“I’ve had some exciting races there in the past so we’ll work hard all weekend to get the Sunday result we’re aiming for!”
