Mohamed Salah goal vs Man City: Martin Tyler's commentary mocked in video

Liverpool shocked the football world on Sunday by overcoming reigning champions Manchester City in their Premier League clash.

The Reds had been out of form in the league to that point, winning just two of their opening eight games.

But against their old rivals they managed to tap into that electric Anfield atmosphere, turn the form tap back on and grind out a result.

It really was a huge win, and the way in which they won it - a sensational Mohamed Salah goal at the Kop end - only added to the magic of the moment.

Fans in the stadium went mental, as did Liverpool supporters watching at home. However, upon reviewing the highlights of the encounter, many took the view that Martin Tyler didn't share the same enthusiasm.

The famous Sky Sports shot-caller has produced some truly iconic moments for us sports fans over the years.

None more so than Sergio Aguero's famous late winner vs Queens Park Rangers that clinched Man City their first Premier League title.

But certain Kopites have felt that Tyler's commentary genius has never been at its finest when covering the games of the Merseyside club.

The video, shared to Twitter by @AndyCantwell, has been getting plenty of love in the short time it's been posted with many Reds voicing their appreciation in the comments.

It's certainly amusing to watch - whether the criticism is justified or not is a matter of opinion as commentary is entirely subjective.

Some fans love Tyler, others won't. That's natural and more than okay.

But it does seem in the case of Liverpool fans at least, that they have much more of an affinity to Peter Drury.
