Abbas shared footage on his Instagram story on Monday night of himself seemingly in a bar and in the company of Liverpool's all-time top goalscorer Ian Rush.
It's unclear from the footage where the video was taken, although the Reds were in Champions League action in Lisbon on Tuesday, as they faced Benfica in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
Mohamed Salah is planning on signing a new contract to keep him at Liverpool according to the Egyptian sports minister Ashraf Sobhi. The Reds and Salah have been locked in contract negotiations for a number of months now.
Sobhi revealed he met with Liverpool's number 11 at the airport in Senegal after Egypt failed to qualify for the World Cup and advised Salah to leave Anfield and continue his playing days elsewhere.
The good news for Liverpool fans is that Salah, according to Sobhi, intends to stay at Anfield.
