'Missing' - Rangers dealt triple injury blow before Aberdeen as early team news emerges

Glasgow Rangers have been dealt a triple injury blow before their Scottish Premiership game this afternoon as some early team news has now emerged.

The Ibrox faithful’s form in the SPFL has been patchy of late to say the least, with draws against Dundee United and Motherwell, as well as a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of city rivals Celtic, all coming last month.

It means that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team have now slipped to three points behind the Hoops in the title race, and thus simply cannot to afford to drop many more points if they are to end up as champions once more.

Speaking in his pre-game press conference ahead of the match, van Bronckhorst has now revealed that he will be without Amad Diallo, Steven Davis and Ianis Hagi, who are all ‘missing‘ amid their road to recovery from injury.

However, Filip Helander, Ryan Jack and Aaron Ramsey are all ‘back‘ and could well face Aberdeen later.

Even though three players have returned, it is still a blow for van Bronckhorst to be missing three of his key squad players ahead of the clash.

Between them, they have picked up three goals and one assist, with Diallo only arriving in January on loan from Manchester United.

Hagi in particular is a key influence on the team, ranking highly among his teammates in terms of average shots, key passes, crosses and through balls per game in the league (WhoScored), and the Teddy Bears could have no doubt used his creativity to help unlock the door today.

In other news, find out what ‘extraordinary’ revelation has now been dropped before Aberdeen here!
