Mike Emenalo’s son signs for Chelsea

The son of former Nigeria international and Super Eagles defender Mike Emenalo, Landon Emenalo, has signed his first professional contract with Chelsea FC.

According to BSNSports.com.ng, Landon joined Chelsea’s youth setup at the Under-8s level after initially spending some time at Monaco.

He later returned to the club during his Under-13s season at Cobham.

During the 2023/24 season, the young Emenalo made his debut for the Under-21s, contributing to a 4-1 win over Colchester United in the Premier League Cup.

This season, he has been a regular for the Under-18s, starting in the FA Youth Cup victories over Leicester City and Merstham, as well as featuring in the Under-17 Premier League Cup.

In addition to his club commitments, Landon has represented the USA at Under-17 level and has also appeared for England Under-17s during international breaks in October and November.
