Mick Schumacher reveals real reason he missed Saudi GP, and it wasn't his 270km/h crash

The Haas driver lost control of his car at Turn 12, sending him into the wall.

Only the lack of spare parts prevented the German from participating in the race.

Mick Schumacher said he was "ready to go racing" in Saudi Arabia despite his horror crash during qualifying.

On Saturday, Schumacher had to be airlifted to hospital following a terrifying crash at the Jeddah circuit.

Mick, the son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, lost control of his Haas as he rode the kerbs through Turn 12 and slammed into the concrete wall on the opposite side of the circuit.

Haas lost all communications with the driver as they waited for the medical team to extract him, but following several minutes without any updates, news eventually filtered through that Schumacher was conscious. He was released later that night, the 23-year-old somehow having escaped the crash without injury.
