Mick Schumacher involved in scary crash at Monaco GP
Mick Schumacher has suffered a horrendous-looking crash at the Monaco Grand Prix after losing control of his car.
The Haas driver thankfully walked away unscathed in an incident which saw his rear wing detach from the rest of the car.
The collision took place on lap 27 when the German lost control of his car after exiting a corner in the swimming pool section.
The car spun, clipping the armco barrier before crashing into the Tecpro barrier.
The initial contact took the majority of the pace out of Schumacher’s car, which thankfully allowed for a less severe hit than first feared.
Schumacher confirmed his status via the team radio, saying: “I’m OK, I just don’t understand it!”
SAFETY CAR! Mick Schumacher has gone hard into the barriers.Thankfully, Mick is out of the car and ok
