Michael 'Venom' Page: Mike Perry 'won't know what's hit him until it's too late' (exclusive)

Michael ‘Venom’ Page is about to tick another thing off the bucket list – but he is only focused on entertaining the fans.

The 35-year-old Bellator MMA fighter faces ex-UFC veteran Mike Perry in the main event of BKFC 27 at London’s Wembley Arena on August 20.

It will be Page’s bare-knuckle boxing debut.

And after getting the chance to fight Perry, he is planning on doing what he does best.

“I wasn’t expecting it to be honest,” he said in an exclusive interview with GiveMeSport.com. “It hadn’t really crossed my mind. But it was something that I always wanted to do but the timing had to be right.

“Now it’s come true and a little bit earlier than I expected. I wasn’t actually looking at any names or anything like that. But when this opportunity landed it was one that I couldn’t turn down.

“It’s going to be an exciting night. Everyone knows Mike Perry is a big character, comes to fight, you know I come to put on a show. So that’s a given.

“I put on a show every time I go out there. I try to be entertaining but equally devastating as well. And that’s exactly what he’s going to experience as well.

“Everyone gets the same kind of shock when they fight me. They always think oh he’s a slim guy, he’s not going to hit that hard, he’s going to be easy to hit. Then they go in there, they get frustrated, and then they go to sleep.

“He won’t know what’s hit him until it’s too late.”

Of course, bareknuckle boxing doesn’t come without its critics.

But ‘MVP’ is confident those negative attitudes will start to change once they watch him compete in the squared circle.
