Michael Olise signs new Palace deal amid Chelsea interest, Tim Kurl joins Luton

Crystal Palace have confirmed that Chelsea target Michael Olise has signed a new four-year deal with the Premier League club.

It was understood that Chelsea had agreed to pay the France Under-21 winger's £35million [€40 million] release clause, but he has now committed his future to the Eagles.

Manager Roy Hodgson added: "It's the best possible news we could have. The decision has been his [Olise's]. I must congratulate Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman on a fantastic job."

Tim Krul has secured a return to the Premier League with Luton.

The experienced Dutch goalkeeper had spent the last five years at Norwich, who were relegated from the top flight in 2022.

Krul was able to force his way back into the Netherlands set-up during his time at Carrow Road, but will continue his distinguished career with Luton.

Ex-Newcastle goalkeeper Krul was a regular for Norwich in the 2021-22 campaign, playing 29 times in the Premier League but he only made 17 appearances in all competitions last season.

The 35-year-old now links up with Rob Edwards' top-flight new boys, who started with a 4-1 defeat at Brighton on Saturday.

Luton are without a fixture this weekend due to ongoing work at their Kenilworth Road stadium, but will return to action on 25 August with a trip to Chelsea.

Krul told the official club website: "The story of Luton Town speaks for itself, the last nine years has been an amazing journey and I’m excited to join that journey."
