Michael Mosley's wife fights tears in first interview since his death 'We all miss him'

Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, wife of the late Michael Mosley, has spoken out about her heartache following her husband's untimely death.

The father-of-four was 67 when he tragically lost his life after disappearing on the Greek island of Symi in June. Amidst scorching heat, Michael had embarked on a trek from a beach to their lodgings.

Dr Clare Bailey Mosley sounded the alarm a few hours later, but it took four days before his body was discovered in rugged terrain, concluding an exhaustive search operation.

Distressing footage seemed to capture the moment he succumbed to the intense heat while making his way down a slope. At that time, his wife remarked that he appeared to have attempted an "incredible climb, took the wrong route, and collapsed where he couldn't easily be seen."

Greek officials determined that Michael's death was due to natural causes, yet an inquest is scheduled for next month in Buckinghamshire, his home county, reports the Mirror.

Before a poignant tribute on Monday's edition of The One Show, host Alex Jones told viewers: "But first tonight, we are remembering the work of Dr. Michael Mosely, and I have been speaking to the person who knew him best.

"Dr Michael Moseley was well known and loved as a broadcaster who suggested we could do perhaps just one thing to improve our health and our lives. It was such a shock to all of us when he tragically died when on holiday in Greece with his wife last summer, having suffered from what was most likely heat exhaustion.

"Today, Clare, the wife of the late Michael, has graciously invited me to their home to discuss the incredible legacy her husband left behind, which will be honoured in a final programme celebrating his life and achievements."
