Everton defender Michael Keane believes Frank Lampard has given the team 'more freedom' since being appointed as the club's manager at the end of last month.

The Blues boss secured the first Premier League win of Lampard's reign with the 3-0 victory over Leeds United providing a much-needed boost.

Goals from Seamus Coleman, Keane and Anthony Gordon helped Everton on their way to three points, in what was a complete performance from start to finish.

There are certainly signs of improvement if Saturday is anything to go by and Keane was quick to admit that Lampard has been at the heart of the positive changes.

“Since the new manager has come in, there have been a lot of positives,” said the Blues centre-back, whose thumping header was his second goal of the season.

“We were confident going into the game against Leeds. We’ve been working well on the training ground and we’re happy to see it come off on the pitch.
