Michael Carrick press conference LIVE Man United injury updates and Newcastle team news
Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick will speak to the media this afternoon ahead of Wednesday night's trip to Newcastle.
United continued their unbeaten start under Carrick with a 2-1 win at home to Crystal Palace. The Reds came from a goal down thanks to a second half Bruno Fernandes penalty and a Benjamin Sesko header.
Sesko is likely to be discussed having scored six goals in seven games for the Reds. Sunday marked his first start for United since Carrick returned to Old Trafford.
Carrick will also provide injury updates ahead of the game. Lisandro Martinez and Mason Mount could return from minor problems.
Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw were both unwell during the victory over Palace so are doubts. Matthijs de Ligt is just behind Mount in his recovery while Patrick Dorgu is a long-term absentee for the Reds.

The Reds benefitted from the visitors being reduced to ten men but Fernandes and Sesko's superb form dragged them across the line.
