Iga Świątek will have just 24 hours to bask in the glory of winning Indian Wells before attention turns to the next WTA 1000 event – the Miami Open.

With 1000 ranking points and $1,231,245 (£937,451) on offer for the winner, the Miami Open is one of the most prestigious events on the WTA Tour. Played on outdoor hard courts, it features 96 players in the singles tournament.

GiveMeSport Women runs through everything you need to know about the tournament, including the schedule, the draw and how to watch.

Qualifying for the Miami Open begins today, with the main draw set to start tomorrow (March 22nd).

The round of 16 will be played on March 28th, with quarter-finals split across March 29th and 30th. The semifinals will be played on March 31 and the final on Saturday, April 2nd.

Day sessions will begin at 15:00 GMT, followed by night sessions from 23:00 GMT. These times will be an hour later from March 27th, when clocks go forward in the UK.

The Miami Open will be played at the Hard Rock Stadium, a multi-purpose stadium in Miami in Florida.

Thirty courts are created for the tournament, which includes a stadium court, ten tournament courts and a number of practice courts.

The only top 20 players absent from the draw are world number one and defending champion Ashleigh Barty, Barbora Krejčíková and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Iga Świątek will be competing, fresh from her victory at Indian Wells and rise up to world number two, but it is Aryna Sabalenka who takes the top seed spot.

Indian Wells finalist Maria Sakkari is among the 16 seeds, as is US Open champion Emma Raducanu and Australian Open finalist Danielle Collins.

Wildcards have been awarded to Sofia Kenin, Astra Sharma, Hailey Baptiste, Linda Fruhvirtova, Alexandra
