Miami GP: F1 journalist 'swimming' in fake water at harbour

F1 is set to return to the US this weekend for the Miami Grand Prix. This will be the first time that Miami has hosted an F1 race.

It’s fair to say that there’s been a real buzz around the F1 community over the last few weeks.

The season so far has delivered many twists and turns as F1 touches down in Miami for this weekend’s action.

The 5.4 kilometre, 19-turn track surrounds the Hard Rock Stadium, which is home to the Miami Dolphins.

In order to get fans hyped for the action, the track designers opted to build an artificial marina across the track.

Its purpose is to only add real excitement to the event and give fans a glimpse of what life is like in the sunshine state.

It’s fair to say that Sky Sports reporter Craig Slater couldn’t get enough of the artificial marina. Slater was so intrigued by what the track had to offer, that he decided to take a dip.

Nothing to see here, just Craig Slater having a swim at the #MiamiGP's fake harbour
