Mercedes' Russell, Hamilton sets the track alight in final practice session for Mexican GP
George Russell and Lewis Hamilton may possibly be in the best position to secure victory at this weekend's Mexican Grand Prix. Well, this is if the times in the third practice session are anything to go by.
Russell and Hamilton set the pace ahead of qualifying, pipping Red Bull's Max Verstappen by almost 0.5 seconds. Russell's time of 1:18.399 was aggressively competitive, suggesting that they, Mercedes-AMG, could be within a shot of securing pole position and challenging for the win.
Verstappen will hope to find the right setup ahead of qualifying and make a claim for the win. Verstappen has been somewhat off the pace throughout the weekend.
