Meghan 'not travelling to Balmoral' with Prince Harry making trip alone

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is not travelling to Balmoral with Prince Harry according to sources. The Duke of Sussex is among the members of the Royal Family making his way to the Scottish estate after The Queen was placed under medical observation by doctors concerned for her health.

It was initially widely reported that the couple were making the trip to Scotland together. However, in the last half an hour a source told the Press Association (PA) that the Duke is making the trip by himself.

It is understood Meghan will remain in London, but will not attend the WellChild awards. The Duchess could potentially join Harry in Scotland at a later date following the change of plan, the source said.

A plane carrying seven members of the Royal Family landed at Aberdeen airport at 3:50pm this afternoon. The BBC said the plane was carrying the Duke of Cambridge Prince William, the Duke of York Prince Andrew and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

It is understood Harry is travelling separately from other royals, but that he has been in co-ordination with other family members’ plans.

Meanwhile the Prince William's wife Kate has also not travelled with her husband. The Duchess of Cambridge has remained at their home in Windsor as their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are on their first full day at their new school.

The Duchess was this afternoon seen driving from her home in Windsor to collect her kids from Lambrook school which has welcomed the three Cambridge children after the family recently moved out of London to Windsor.
