As the old saying goes, behind every great man this is a great woman and Newcastle United's new signings definitely have the support of their other halves, many of whom have now had their first taste of that electric St James' Park atmosphere.

After the historic takeover of the club in October, hopes were high that some serious money would be splashed during the January transfer window and fans' hopes were delivered on when five new players signed on the dotted line to join the Magpies.

England winger Kieran Trippier and Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães were the two biggest names to join NUFC before Deadline Day and they were joined by highly rated Burnley striker Chris Wood, defender Dan Burn signed from Brighton and Matty Targett who joined the club on loan from Aston Villa.

Four of those featured in Newcastle's 3-1 win over Everton on Tuesday night and three of their other halves were in the stands at St James' Park to see them and their teammates delight fans with a rousing performance.

While Kieran jetted in from Spain to Tyneside to seal the deal, Charlotte and the couple's two children stayed in Madrid for another month, before finally moving over to Newcastle in early February.
