Meet Eden, a Marple student who received an offer from Oxford University after support from her college

When young people complete year 10 and are faced with deciding on that ever-important next step in their education, they are often encouraged to weigh up their options, and select a path that will best excel them in their chosen subjects.

Firm in the belief that the place they chose to study will carve the way to the next step in their education, and later their career, students often feel pressure when it comes to choosing where to study after GCSEs.

In the post Covid-era young people are now demanding more from schools and colleges. It is now no longer sufficient for a college to only have a reputation for helping pupils to achieve good grades and go on to well-respected universities, it's also equally as important for colleges to offer the necessary support to students so they are able to overcome challenges unique to themselves.

One such college in Greater Manchester which excels at both is Marple Sixth Form College, which is holding an open day on Thursday September 22 from 4.30pm until 7pm. Students can register online to explore the many options the college has to offer.
