Medway Area Sunday League round-up (17/04/22)

Swale Madrid and Darland Spartans are celebrating cup success.

In the Junior League Cup final, Swale went into a 2-0 lead in the second half against Swallow Rise - only to be pegged back with two goals in the last 10 minutes.

Madrid then scored three times in extra time to win 5-2 with goals from Charley Davies (2), Jack Perry, Jack Shaw and Dylan Tubb. Kane Parkes and Travis Jackson were Rise's targetmen.

Darland Spartans scored twice in the first six minutes of the Junior League Trophy final and went on to win 4-2 against AFC Shorne.

Yeni Yusuph bagged a hat-trick, with Kane Hutton completing the scoring, while Kieran Wells scored both goals for the beaten finalists.

Ben Blake scored both goals for Cliffe Woods Rangers but they suffered a 4-2 Super League loss to Borden Park Wanderers. Matthew Cowlam, James Simmons, Ashley Claridge and Ashleigh Henderson were the men on target.

Kane Hutton and Lucas Bindon struck for Darland Spartans, however Emmanuel Oli (2), David Ajao and Russell ToaoDohu ensured the points went Bells' way.

Zak Wells and Daniel Strike were among the goals for Rainham Kenilworth Athletic. They drew 2-2 with Medway Rovers 17 - Caleb Dyce and Joel Beston replying for Rovers.

In Division 1, Dan Lennox scored his first goal for four years while Nathan Robinson and Lloyd James (2) were also on target for second-placed Anchorians Athletic in a 4-1 win over Omega 92. Daniel Lee claimed the consolation.

Gav Pullen (3), Jack Amos (2), Dan Morley (2), Alex Reid and James Walker were all on target in Gillingham Town’s 9-0 victory over Medway United Central in Division 2.
