Meadow and Kerr finish 28th
Stephanie Meadow and partner Cristie Kerr started and ended the day in 28th position in the final round of the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational as Jennifer Kupcho and Lizette Salas eased to victory.
With Saturday's play returning to fourballs from foursomes, the scoring was lower than on Friday, and Meadow and her American partner posted a 64 – their lowest score of the four rounds.
That left them on 11-under for the tournament, 15 strokes behind the eventual winners.
The back nine was particularly productive for Antrim’s Meadow and Kerr as they picked up six birdies in nine holes.
A 64 on Friday had given Kupcho and Salas a strong hold on top position, and they followed it up with a scintillating 61 to secure the honours.
That was enough for a five-shot win over second-placed Matilda Castren and Kelly Tan while Stacy Lewis and Maria Fassi were a further shot back after a brilliant closing round of 59.
