MCFC given green light to bid for £67.5m-rated "phenomenon", supporters will love it - opinion

Manchester City are among a few European Superclubs who have been given the green light to make a bid for PSG mega star, Neymar.

As per a report from The Mirror who have relayed a piece from RMC Sport, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly told the Brazilian that they no longer require his services in what is an extraordinary U-turn due to the club begging him to stay just a few years ago.

The report goes on to state that Neymar was angered by Al-Khelaifi’s comments made earlier in the summer on the topic of shortcomings at PSG saying: “A possible departure of Neymar this summer? What I can tell you is that we expect all players to do a lot more than last season. A lot more!

“They all have to to be 100 per cent. Obviously, we weren’t good enough to go far. For next season, the objective is clear: to work every day at 200 per cent. To give everything we have for this jersey, give the maximum and we will see the result.”

“You have to become humble again. You have to change to avoid injuries, suspensions and fouls that change a game.”

City can do that by putting in a bid for the £67.5m-rated “phenomenon”, in the words of David
