Mbappe vs Haaland: Dani Alves doesn't even think there should be a debate about who's better

Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland could both be on the move this summer.

Mbappe’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain runs out in just a few months time and has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Haaland, meanwhile, has two years left on his contract but is believed to have a clause which means Dortmund would have to accept an £66m offer for him.

Given he’s already one of the best players in the world at 20 years old, that fee seems like a bargain.

But, out of the two players, who should clubs try to sign?

Barcelona star Dani Alves has given an in-depth interview with Catalan news outlet, Sport.

Alves was asked to pick his favourite of the two. And the Brazilian thinks there shouldn’t even be a debate as to who is better.

“Mbappe is a more complete player than Haaland in all aspects of the game,” he said.

“I wouldn’t do crazy things for Haaland. Honestly, I wouldn’t spend a lot of money on him.

“I would spend a lot of money on Mbappe, but not on Haaland.

“If you are going to make a giant investment, you have to do it in the best way. If it depended on me, I would bet on Mbappe.”

Well that’s just about the most emphatic answer you can give.

Out of the two players, Barcelona have a much greater chance of landing Haaland.

Barca have sorted out their financial troubles and have been linked with a move for the Norwegian striker in the past few months.

Just last month, Sport claimed that Haaland’s preferred destination is the Catalan giants.
