Max Verstappen takes Singapore GP pole after sprint win

Max Verstappen took pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix, beating the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc into second in a close fight on the streets of the Marina Bay circuit.

Drivers championship leader Kimi Antonelli was fourth for Mercedes, a decent return after he has struggled with the car over the weekend and given his team-mate and title rival, George Russell, will start from the back of the grid on Sunday.
