Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Voice Actor hints at motion capturing being underway

In a rather surprising manner, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Voice Actor recently shared an update, hinting that the motion capture work for Insomniac‘s Spider-Man 2 game might have started.

After being radio silent for months, it seems like we might finally be getting some new details about Insomniac Games’ upcoming Spider-Man 2 game.

Last year, the developers announced that the PlayStation 4’s sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man was officially in development; however, didn’t reveal anything else about the project except for mentioning a 2023 launch window.

Things are changing for good, as we might have some new development about the game, courtesy Tony Todd, the actor taking on the role of Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. He recently “might have” teased some exciting scoop about the game’s development.

The voice actor’s tweet seems to hint that motion capture for Insomniac‘s Spider-Man 2 game might be well underway.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games for next year and Sony and Insomniac Games have been quite tight-lipped about the entire affair. Apart from a reveal trailer, not much has been shown off to the public, leading to many rumours and speculations surrounding the game.

To further fuel everything, Tony Todd, in one of their recent tweets, simply wrote: “Early riser. #Mocap time.” This naturally led many to speculate that the motion capture for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 might have begun.

Tony will be voicing Venom in the game and Insomniac head of franchise strategy Ryan Schneider in a PlayStation Blogpost said the following at the time of the announcement,

“We’re so happy to announce that Tony Todd (of Candyman fame) will be voicing the symbiote-fuelled Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.”
