Married at First Sight UK's Adrian Sanderson's unrecognisable hair transplant as he explains reason for 'Captain Curtains' look

Adrian Sanderson looks completely different to the last time viewers saw him on Married at First Sight UK last year as he ditched his trademark locks that saw his now ex-husband Thomas Hartley compare him to H from Steps on their wedding day.

The pair's rollercoaster relationship on the E4 marriage experiment show, which sees strangers get married as soon as they meet each other for the first time after being matched by the experts, saw Thomas say: "Captain Curtains can f**k off" after an argument.

But now, Adrian has opened up on his decision to have a hair transplant to fix one of his "biggest insecurities". Despite Adrian’s 90’s boyband hairstyle gaining a ton of attention on the show, little did viewers know there was a very real reason behind his iconic curtains.

While he didn't talk about it at the time of appearing on the show, Adrian has shared how he's undergone the hair transplant procedure in the hopes of fixing his receding hairline.

After a lot of research, the procedure took place in the hands of leading hair transplant surgeon Dr Matee Rajputt at KSL's Manchester clinic, whose previous celebrity clients have included I’m a Celebrity's Jake Quickenden, and consisted of 2100 hair follicle grafts.

Adrian, from Manchester, is now three weeks post-op and will soon start a course of PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment to support his newly transplanted hairline. PRP uses our own blood plasma to help promote hair growth and became a popular treatment following Kim Kardashian's famous vampire facial.
