Marquez and Di Giannantonio showcase Gresini Ducati colours

Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio spearheaded the Gresini launch on Saturday morning as all three classes were unveiled.

The traditional light-blue livery was flashed with Ducati red as Marquez officially made the move from Honda to replace the promoted Enea Bastianini for 2023 while Fausto’s legacy remained the driving force for the family-run Bologna satellite.

Marquez will be hoping to hit the ground running on the Desmosedici if he’s to emulate the success of the number 23, who racked up four visits to the top step amongst his six podiums last season before joining the factory Ducati team for the coming year.

Nadia Padovani continues as team principal for the Grand Prix team with Luca Gresini heading both the Moto2 and MotoE projects. Frankie Carchedi moves from the disbanded Suzuki squad to crew chief ‘Diggia’ while Donatello Giovanotti will work alongside Marquez.

Matteo Ferrari once again partners Alessio Finello as the electronic class switches from Energica to Ducati machinery, vibrant neon yellow highlighting the Felo title partnership, while the intermediate class sees Jeremy Alcoba join Filip Salac aboard the red-set QJMotor sponsored Kalex.
