Marnus Labuschagne pokes fun at himself after getting out for a duck vs Pakistan

Australia star Marnus Labuschagne was able to see the funny side after getting run out for a duck in the second Test against Pakistan in Karachi.

Labuschagne is well-known for his over-exaggerated leaves and loud shouts of "no run" while batting and poked fun at himself on social media after getting out.

The 27-year-old, who is the number one Test batter in the world, posted a photo of himself with his head in his hands and looking devastated by the manner of his dismissal.

Labuschagne captioned the picture: "Yep.. fair to say that was no run"

It was only the second time in Test cricket that Labuschagne has been out for a duck, with the first coming on debut against Pakistan in 2018.

After David Warner was caught behind off Faheem Ashraf for 36, Labuschagne came to the crease looking to build on the impressive 90 he scored in the first Test in Rawalpindi.

However, he only lasted nine deliveries this time, pushing the ball to Sajid Khan at mid-off, calling for a single that was never there and ultimately getting run out by a direct hit.

Speaking on commentary, former Australia opener Simon Katich said: "No worse feeling, first-innings duck. He’s not looking too happy at the moment Marnus."

"When you win the toss and you end up batting on a pitch like this, which is pretty true and you get yourself run out, you can see why he’s so unhappy," added former England batter Rob Key.

"It’s funny, as soon as he got run out, the first thing I thought was what’s the point in making your own spinning thing at your house with the mats and everything and running yourself out for a nought."

Following Labuschagne's departure, Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith shared a mammoth 159-run partnership before Hasan Ali dismissed Smith for 72.
