Mark Allen exits Saudi tournament at semi-final stage

Mark Allen was beaten in the semi-finals of Riyadh Season World Masters this afternoon, going down 4-2 to former world champion Luca Brecel.

The Belgian took a 2-0 lead through breaks of 72 and 71 with Allen missing a good chance in that second frame before Brecel took over.

Three centuries followed, with Allen's 121 and 133 sandwiched by a 125 from Brecel.

The Antrim man missed a brown to the middle pocket in the crucial moment of the match as Brecel went on to make 82.

Allen comes away with over €85,000 in prize money for his one win at the tournament.

Ronnie O'Sullivan is currently playing Judd Trump in the second semi-final.
