Marie-Philip Poulin adds to her legend, buries triple OT goal to lift Victoire over Frost
With the Captain Clutch moniker attached to her name throughout her illustrious career, it was only fitting Marie-Philip Poulin would come up big once again.
Poulin ended a marathon of a PWHL playoff game, burying a one timer in the third overtime period to lead the Montréal Victoire to a 1-0 victory over the defending Walter Cup champion Minnesota Frost.
Poulin looked to be limping and in pain at moments throughout the game, but it didn’t affect her shot when the puck came to her six periods into the game.
The best-of-five semifinal is now tied 1-1 with the series shifting to Minnesota.
More to come.
