Marcus Rashford has an easy Manchester United decision to make under Erik ten Hag

Like many of his Manchester United teammates, Marcus Rashford endured a difficult campaign last term. After such an impressive 2020/21 season, the England international was expected to play a vital role in the Reds' Premier League title quest. As it turned out, the United attacker struggled to make a significant impact as the club stuttered to a sixth-placed finish under an interim manager.

Rashford, who recorded just seven goal contributions in 32 appearances for the Reds last term, had been struggling with a shoulder injury but continued to play for club and country. Eventually, the United man made the decision to have surgery and he now appears to be reaping the rewards.

The Englishman has made an electric start to the new season and has registered eight contributions in nine appearances - including five goals. While a muscle injury kept him out of four matches in total for Erik ten Hag's side - as well as the most recent England squad - he didn't let it affect his form and returned from the sidelines in the same rich vein of form.

In recent days, Spanish outlet SPORT have reiterated that Barcelona are keen on a move for Rashford in the summer transfer window next year, and are looking to sign the England international on a free. The 24-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has attracted interest from the Catalan giants before, and it's more than likely that he will do so again.
