January is rapidly approaching and there remains so much uncertainty at Old Trafford - and beyond - not least with Marcus Rashford and his much-talked-about Manchester United future.

Speculation around the Academy graduate is at fever pitch right now. But will Rashford stay or go?

Ruben Amorim fired a clear message to the England forward on Sunday afternoon. As reported by The Manchester Evening News in the build-up to United's sensational comeback win over Manchester City in the Manchester derby, the 27-year-old was dropped from their matchday squad along with Alejandro Garnacho.

According to Amorim himself, this is by no means the end of the road for Rashford or his snubbed teammate.

However, particularly with Rashford in the aftermath, there have been countless rumours doing the rounds and he continues to be linked with a departure. For now, though, the Wythenshawe star remains a United player - and will do so until the market reopens next month at least.

When it does, paper talk will go on and on, but there are so many ifs, buts and maybes to factor in.

Rashford, who plundered 30 goals in all competitions the season before last, has seven to his name this campaign, while his overall record for United reads 426 games, 138 goals and 64 assists. His contract runs until 2028, while the player and club are, perhaps, at a crossroads as to what option will be best for them moving forward.
