Marco Odermatt wins his second gold at the World Championships in the men's giant slalom in Courchevel

Marco Odermatt won gold in the men's giant slalom competition at the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships in Courchevel on Friday. The world No. 1 finished with a time of 2:34.08 to claim his second gold medal of the World Championships.

He had previously not finished on the podium in his past eight World Championship races. Ad Fellow Swiss skier Loic Meillard took home silver, finishing 0.32s off the top spot, while Austria's Marco Schwarz managed a bronze, 0.40s off of Odermatt, having led after the first run.
