Real Madrid defender Marcelo was left with his head in his hands on Monday after stepping on the Manchester City badge.
Some footballers avoid stepping on crests out of respect. Atletico Madrid players Luis Suarez, Rodrigo de Paul and Angel Correa were filmed avoiding the Man City badge just before the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final earlier this month.
Atletico's rivals Real take on Man City at the Etihad on Tuesday evening in the first leg of their European semi-final clash. Pep Guardiola's side are aiming to reach a second successive final and win their maiden Champions League crown.
Real trained at the Etihad on Monday ahead of the game and were filmed making their way on to the pitch. In the video, Marcelo is seen laughing and joking with club and international team-mates Vinicius Junior and Eder Militao.
The latter then tells Marcelo he's walked over the Man City badge, leaving the veteran left-back with his head in his hands. Marcelo, who is aiming to win a fifth Champions League title before leaving Real this summer, will hope it's not a bad omen.
