Marc Roca's Leeds United's squad number as midfielder makes first summer appearance
Summer signing Marc Roca was, as expected, wearing the No.8 shirt for his first appearance in Leeds United colours.
Junior Firpo’sshowed Roca wearing the Leeds’ training kit with the number eight on Wednesday, and that was the shirt he wore for Thursday night's game against Blackpool. The last player to wear number eight for the Whites was Vurnon Anita in 2017-18.
Archie Gray was also handed his debut by Jesse Marsch, although Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford haven't featured.
Roca arrived from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich for a fee of £10 million in June. The 25-year-old featured 24 times for the Bavarians and collected four trophies, including two Bundesliga titles and the FIFA Club World Cup. He started his career at Espanyol and played 121 matches for the Catalan outfit – registering three goals and six assists.
